Ebworth – Our Links With The National Trust

We are very proud of our school having a direct link with the National Trust Ebworth Estate. We work closely with the National Trust wardens to plan projects and learning activities.

For an example project see the Trees Poetry Trail

Both classes regularly visit the Ebworth Estate for our Forest school sessions which is within close walking distance of our school. Here, appropriately dressed for the variable weather, the children develop and extend class work using the resource of the countryside.
A garden was created by the school to grow and tend plants. Produce from the garden is used in Cookery Club and also in our Harvest Festival.
We also present plays and put on Art exhibitions in this beautiful woodland setting. We celebrate Autumn Day and Apple Day with pupils, teachers and parents walking up to Ebworth to mark the season of Autumn by singing songs, reading poems and sharing apple snacks made by the children using apples from the Apple Orchard beside school.
